I am using 2 RuiXu Lithi2-16 batteries with an EG4 18Kpv inverter.
My inverter support told me that I need to update the battery firmware to establish better connectivity with the batteries.
How do I find the correct firmware?
How do I update the firmware?
Thanks.
Since I have updated all 5 of mine to V4 firmware, they will not work with Luxpower. Specifically the6000xp. Worked flawlessly on V3and V2. Hopefully can go back to V3.
Also, why once the batteries have been connected (comms to inverter) does one battery lock to the primary? Self addressing batteries I thought. Any way to “reset” these? What are the dip switches for on the bms?
We need some real info here here people! These are not as plug n play as they seem.
Yes, I had to power off the breaker of each battery when I installed the firmware. I would suggest doing the secondary battery first, but it doesn't matter as I did the primary first and all was well.
You do need to disconnect the comm cable in order to attach the usb-485 cable from the pc to the battery.
If I had had grid, I would have switched to grid while working on the batteries. It all went smooth with me, and I'm sure yours will too.
Yes, you have to switch the breakers off. I think I would do the secondary battery first. You have to unplug the comm cable in order to plug the comm from your PC to the battery.
I’m off grid, so I don’t have the grid only option. I would use that while flashing the firmware.
